One thing I've set out to accomplish this year is learning photography. First, I'm reading the book, Shoot Like a Pro by Julie Adair King. It is specific to digital photography. I've been researching cameras in hopes of investing the right pieces of equipment, and I'm leaning toward a Canon DSLR, but I've got to go back and re-read the specs on the model I'm looking at now that I've completed Part I of the book which dealt with the issue of "gearing up for great pictures."
After I've finished the book, acquired the right camera, studied the camera manual, and learned to operate the equipment itself, I am going to enroll in a 10-week photography course offered at Delaware Art Museum. I'm on target for the session beginning in April. That is where I hope to engage in learning the art of photography.
Along the way I will continue to explore my Corel photo editing software so I can master that end of things, and I will also need to invest in the right scanner and printer. This going to be FUN!
3/16/13 - Update on my new photography venture: I finished the book and purchased the Canon EOS Rebel T3i with a some basic accessories and am ready to start practicing!
